like, whoa
I usually don't solicit comments, but work with me on this one.
I got a new calling in my ward and I would love your ideas.
It all started when my cedar city bestie, Brittany Kroff, moved away. She was our RS president and I was 2nd counselor. I knew I was getting released, so my feathers were a bit ruffled when I was asked to meet with the Bishop. But I figured it would be nbd.
I was stunned when he said the words,
Yep. You read that right. I haven't been in Young Women since, well, I was a Young Woman. Wowzers.
After letting it soak in for a few days, I realized how excited I am. I loved my Young Women leaders and we have way fun girls in our ward.
So here's your job. Leave a comment telling me about all your favorite activities. The most fun, the most spiritual, the activities were you learned the most. I'm all ears. What did you love about Young Women? Bring it on.

when you love someone
There are a few things that our little e loves. These are the things that never
fail. One of them is looking at
herself. Not in the mirror, but in
pictures. She gets so excited and
bounces up and down with enthusiasm.
It is pretty adorable to watch.
Her other favorite thing is to be with her Dad. She gets so excited when he comes home,
so excited when he holds her. Just
this morning she crawled into the hall where he comes home from work and looked
for him, then put her head down and started crying.
She is Daddy’s little girl through and through. Although she is starting to love me
just a little bit.
Happy Monday!

sometimes love
Sometimes love needs a little pick-me-up. Or in this case, the world's longest love note. It started by the garage door where Jeffree walks in from work. After greeting him there, it went down the hall, up the stairs into the kitchen...
then through the front room, up the main stairs and down the hall. Jeff loved it. Well worth the hour + it took me to make. Success.
Try it. He just might love it.

homes in the south of france
I went to the St. George Parade of Homes with my
sister. The homes were beautiful and I loved [almost] every bit of it. We had so much fun using words like
“exquisite” as we talked about features in the home. (When you are in a 2 million dollar home, are you even
allowed to use a word besides exquisite? No. Even if you are just describing the
bathroom tile.)
There were so many cute ideas and now I want to get my
create on. I thought to myself, my
home could look this beautiful, too – if no one lived there and the décor was
staged by uber-awesome interior
designers. :)
Courtyards are all the rage and when I have a billion
gazillion bucks lying around, I am totally walling in my front yard. Gorgeous!
I actually don’t enjoy looking at myself enough to have this
beauty in my bathroom. I should
also mention that the bathroom alone is as big as my master bedroom and this is
their vacation home. Yep.
I’m sure they are super down to earth, though.
“Hey mom! This
family doesn’t even have a flat screen t.v. built into their kitchen counter!”
“I know, junior.
It's one of the sad realities of life.”
