One and only

After making some date night popcorn in our date night popcorn bowl,

Jeffree and I walked to the theatre in some gorgeous, refreshing spring weather.

We had to smuggle in the goods. Cheap theatre + Our own movie snacks = so fun and so cheap :)

We enjoyed Letters to Juliet. Sometimes predictable, sometimes refreshing.

But mostly, I enjoy being with my one and only. Sometimes predictable, always refreshing.

Scrumptious Swiss Oats...One great breakfast!!!

This is definitely my favorite breakfast. So easy and so deliciously healthy. The recipe comes from "Lickety-Split Meals for Health Conscious People on the Go" by Zonya Foco.

Mix the night before serving. Let soak overnight, covered, in fridge:

1 1/2 c oats (quick or old-fashioned)
1 1/4 c milk
2 T honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon

In the morning, add,
3 c fresh or dried fruit of any variety
1/4 c walnuts, almonds, or pecans (opt.)

Eat up! Serves 4

This morning we had it with blackberries and peaches. Another favorite is strawberries and bananas.

One More Miracle

Sometimes I ask Jeffree, "Why are we so blessed?" He always answers, "I don't know."

Why did we find each other? Why did he get a job in Idaho so we could be together my last year of school?

Why did I get to do my student teaching right in Rexburg? Why did we have so many blessings?

I asked him again yesterday. We'd both prayed so hard for this one, but so many others are doing the same. I found out yesterday, and I cried. Tears of joy and relief and excitement and overwhelming humility at receiving this huge blessing and amazing opportunity.

I am a Madison Bobcat. I got a position teaching math at Madison High School. I LOVE the other math teachers there and I'm so excited to learn more from them. Students in Rexburg are more than ideal. And mostly, I don't have to commute, Jeffree and I have the same holidays and inservice. We are so excited for this opportunity for me to grow as a teacher and for the chance to save some money for our future.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! That's what my heart has been saying since I found out. And we'll say it again. Thank you to so many who kept us in their prayers. I felt extra strength in the interview and never gave up hope through the whole process because of that. New job, new school, new blessings, and new opportunity!

Our First Tutorial

Swagbucks is a search engine. It's free, just like searching in google, but it has cool rewards. You can win swagbucks several different ways, but one of the ways is searching.

You can search in your toolbar, if you download their toolbar. Note below that we can still search in google on the right, or in swagbucks below the url address on the left. You only win if you use swagbucks, but if you can't find what you're looking for, there's always google.

You don't win every time you search, but the points can rack up pretty fast. You can win randomly while searching. It'll show something like this:

You can also win by referring people. Then when they get swagbucks, you get the same swagbucks. When Jeffree wins swagbucks, they add to his account and to mine, because I referred him. They can add up pretty fast.

There are a ton of prizes you can buy with your swagbucks. Giftcards, CDs (Taylor Swift's Fearless for only 200 swagbucks), etc. So easy and so free!

Just click on SWAGBUCKS LINK and sign up. Then refer people and win!

More Firsts

Caitlin (my cousin) stayed at our apartment for 2 weeks. We had so much fun, although we didn't accomplish as much as we should have. We had fun baking, including our favorite - Garlic Herb bread (recipe).

My first college degree

It finally came! After 5 years at Brigham Young University-Idaho, I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Math Education. It was so fun to have my family there. And I might have cried a little bit.

I know this doesn't look like receiving my diploma, but it is... Sister Harmon is AMAZING!!! Mal and I made her cry.

Rachel Frongner and myself. Math pals.

Kaitlyn and I had matching necklaces.

My adorable husband, who graduated a year ago.

Sister Harmon, Me, Mallory (my bestie)

Tracy... one of my favorite history pals.

My best girl friend in the whole world, Mallory Hedlund. She got me through my math classes, and all of my other crisis :) I love you, Mal!

My cousin Caitlin, as well as my roommate for 4 years. Love you.

Post grad celebration...

Our First Easter

Our first Easter together was so wonderful. We enjoyed conference crepes for breakfast. I hid eggs for Jeffree. He's dramatically looking for them...

I made Jeff little animal eggs. My sister emailed me the link and I thought it would be a fun way to spice up the basket. Inside each one, along with candy, was a note saying one attribute of our Savior he has developed.

For my first easter basket, I was pretty proud of my work :)

We are grateful for Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and lives again. May we always remember Him.
